Blueming Skincare

Project Overview

What is Blueming?

Blueming is a skincare brand specializing in wash-off face masks, co-created with a lifestyle influencer with over 400K followers.

The brand is tailored for young adults who seek skincare that is both elegant and cheerful—merging premium skincare aesthetics with playful, approachable energy.

Client Brief:

The client envisioned a skincare brand that feels luxurious yet approachable. The product line features wash-off face masks, formulated for three skin types: normal, dry, and acne-prone. Designer has full creative freedom, with a few key requirements:

  • Packaging must display the ingredients and target skin type.

  • Each variant should use a distinct color palette for easy visual differentiation.

Wait… it’s not over yet!

After the successful branding and packaging design, the client was thrilled and invited me back to create their launch campaign’s design assets.

Summary & Reflection

This project allowed me to think beyond visuals and explore how design and marketing work together to shape brand perception.

I crafted a visual identity that balanced elegance with a playful, youthful tone, aligned with the target audience.

The client was highly satisfied, which led to a continued partnership—I was also invited to design social media assets for the client’s clothing brand.

This project also pushed me to learn new skills, such as creating packaging mockups for the first time. It taught me to think critically about how designs translate into physical products (on screen vs. in hand). Like I mentioned earlier, the design had to be manufacturing-friendly.

P.S. I was excited to see some customer reviews on Shopee mentioning how much they loved the “cute” packaging! ^_^
